Curious Facts
These stones were originally called "Waco Sinkers" and were thought to be associated with fishing since they were found near many rivers in central Texas. A more modern theory is that they were used as bolas. Bolas are tied together in pairs on the ends of strong cords and hurled as a spinning weapon for hunting animals.
