• Gavel and sounding board made of oak.

Part of the Pat M. Neff Gavel Collection. Presented to Pat M. Neff by Louisiana Governor Leche.

This gavel and base were made by the students of the Delgado Trades School. They used a piece of oak taken from an oak tree in which a British cannon ball was said to have been embedded during the Battle of New Orleans on January 8, 1815.
