Collected in India by Rev. John A. Howard during his missionary years, 1912 through 1946.
Curious Facts
Due to its softness, soapstone is an excellent carving material. It is also nonporous, heat and acid resistance, and has a high specific heat capacity which makes it a popular material for cooking implement.
