Collected prior to 1949. Formerly housed in the Great Commission Room in Baylor's Tidwell Bible Building.
Curious Facts
Calabash gourds are members of the family Cucurbitaceae which contain cucurbitacins that are toxic at high concentrations. This toxin is also present in cucumbers, which causes their bitter taste.
